Hello everyone!
We are an indie startup looking for a 3D character artist to model and texture a low poly hand-painted human character for our first game, which is a retro horror title. You will be provided with reference art.
We are specifically looking for someone who can confidently work within a strict polygonal budget and produce realistic looking diffuse textures, as we do not use normal maps or any form of shaders on our characters. We'd like to specify that we are looking for high quality and well topologized models that would look at home in a AAA release on the latter-end of the PS1 era, albeit with a slight bump in resolution for clarity's sake.
I have attached an example of the kind of style and budget you'd work with - This is not from our game, but it is a nice visual indicator of what we're looking for.
