As part of my Masters studies at Staffordshire University, my current assignment is to create a detailed mech from a piece of concept art. For this assignment, I have chosen Wrecking Ball from Overwatch with the intention to reskin him into a beach-themed mech. I would like feedback on the model, textures and presentation so I can improve for the next project. See below for renders. I created the model by using planes and making the most of the edges and shift extrude method to extend the shape around each respective shape. The mech was unwrapped to a texel density of 512 per meter due to the stylised textures being created and the textures were created in Substance Painter. The scene was rendered in Unreal Engine 4.26 and the content of the scene was sourced in Quixel.
