I created this table as a part of our discord community big project of a fantasy library in ue5, most likely it will take some time until it is done so I'm posting the table alone now :) Based on a real writing table from a museum

ofc still under Georgian's guidance :)
For more renders pls check out my artstation :)

Amazing table! Love all those ornaments. Well done!
Nice work, ppziel!
The surface imperfections are well done. Material definition is pretty spot on, the red lacquer is very nice. Looking at the wireframe shots on Artstation, I'd say there's probably some excess geometry in places, but not end of the world. If this was a hero asset I'd say it's 100% fine as is. That'd be about my only critique. The rest of it is very well done.
@Grubber thanks a lot!
@Joshua Stubbles thanks a lot! yeah it was intended as a hero asset of a first-person game so i didn't really care about polycount that much :) nevertheless, thanks for stopping at art station and taking a closer look, appreciate it !
Can you share the polycount and number of texture sets?
Cause i fail to see how this is usable as a realtime asset. Maybe if your player character IS the table...
Spoiler alert. You are witnessing the first screenshots of "Table the game" :P
He did mention target engine being UE5 and this being a static mesh I would assume nanite comes into play here. I did see the wires on artstation but you should post them here too ziel cmonnnn mannn ;)
I'm sorry man I rarely visit polycount these days ... Thank you for your interest and the question! The whole thing is 400k with 2 texture sets (some parts are duplicated and mirrored). As Nathan mentioned yes it is intended to be used in UE5 with nanite and on top of that it being a portfolio piece I didn't really care too much about polycount. I am aware that as it is it could not make into an actual game more than just being a LOD0 cinematic asset. Even though we need to push those boundaries a bit don't you think? If not we will still experience the same reused 5-year-old assets from one game to another :P
Great job! When I imagine writing good books or speeches, I see a person with a pen and ink at just such a table. Unfortunately, I don’t have a talent for writing, so I use the help of professional writers from https://edubirdie.com/speech-writing-service and when I see the result of their work, it seems to me that their desk looks exactly like this. Therefore, when I want to make a lasting impression on the audience, I use their services.
