3D Artist - Southam - Warwickshire - Competitive salary based on experience
We at RiVR (rivr.uk) have an exciting opportunity for a 3D Artist
As an artist at RiVR you will be part of a team producing groundbreaking and industry leading VR training for blue light services and security agencies. You will be responsible for creating realistic 3D models and environments. The role will be a mixture of photogrammetry scan clean up and pure CG modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Modeling and texturing highly realistic models based on reference or photogrammetry scan data.
- Authoring assets to be platform ready and to be fully test within Unity
- Iterating artwork based on feedback and visual direction
- Keeping on top of latest technologies, trends and techniques as it relates to your role.
Requirements:
- Portfolio demonstrating realistic model creation
- Experience in environment or prop modeling within the games industry or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of Maya and Zbrush or similar software and general 3D art skills, as well as strong artistic fundamentals
- Excellent understanding of PBR workflows and be able to author textures and material using Substance Designer and Photoshop
- Experience with Unity
- Strong ability to self-direct and problem solve when needed
Good to have:
- Technical art skills such as scripting and shader and material creation in Unity
- Additional art related skills such as animation, VFX and lighting
The role will sometimes require international travel, assisting at exhibitions on show floors, working with clients etc.
The role is office based.
