Nice to meet you too. I'm pretty much a newcomer to the forums, I'm starting to recognize some people around. Great stuff on your ArtStation btw, I really like the models you made for Diablo 3.
Affinity Designer... had to look that up. the work on your ArtStation, are these purely 2d vector or is a 3d conversion involved? been blind to graphic vector apps for a good decade.
Anyway, cars are all path traced vectors with shading for individual shapes in it's object layer group, driven by AD's effects suite i.e. gaussian blur, color gradients/correction, masking....etc alongside a few opacity tweaks, as well.
While the other drawings on there, were basically sketched via a mix of vector & raster layers which is really quite neat, For example, AD natively enables the user too toggle between workspaces, taking full advantage implementing pixel brush sets for that added level of texture depth.
Also kind of a coincidence mentioning 3D conversion because at the moment I'm researching Blender's grease pencil.
A couple of years back stumbled across Jama Jurabeav's tutes converting drawings over to mesh objects, with an ultimate intent of switching disciplines from hard surface modeling to maybe environment concept or scene creation art?! sometime in the future.
Good to see you, too! I have not been on Polycount much, for a while now. Over the years, lots of roles as a contractor sort of took it's toll, health issues, unemployment and whatnot. Finally have some stability with AmazonGames, and sort of looking to re-spark my outside-of-work love of the craft, which has fallen off over the years. So hopefully I'll be around a bit more, posting art and such 😊
i don't know, i was never good at foruming. Justin Meisse the Baron Mahkey is a lesson in someone you meet online being way cooler in person than you expected, you met me at an interesting time in my life. also this: https://soundcloud.com/doctornode/killing-people

Yeah, part of Serif's software bundle geared toward graphic design.
