Hello all.
I have recently switched to Unreal 5 for work and I am wondering if anyone has come across a workaround for using displacement in materials? I realize tessellation has been removed from UE5 and through the use of Nanite you can achieve great things for static meshes. However, so far this does not work on skeletal meshes. My problem is that I need to use more then just NM on characters. I am trying to avoid breaking rigs and remodeling to get the look I could previously achieve with the use of displacement/ tessellation through the material. Is there any solution to this?

parallax mapping is probably your best bet . tessellation is too expensive for practical use in almost any real world situation anyway so its no great loss
