Department: Visualisation
Location: London / Remote
Reports to: Realtime Supervisor
Key Purpose of the Job:
● Working in collaboration with the 3D artists and Supervisors to develop tools and support the current previs / postvis / 3D pipeline
● Responsible for individual sprints on the pipeline roadmap
● Assisting production with any automation needs required with ingesting / packaging for outgoing files
● Supporting 3D artists with troubleshooting / bug fixes and clear documentation of old and new tools
● Maya API tool development ( Python )
● Unreal and Nuke Python API tool development (desirable but not required)
Requirements
● 2+ years production experience in a VFX, visualisation or games environment
● Strong problem solving skills
● Extensive experience working with Python and Maya, including: Cmds library, Open Maya api (1 and 2), Shell scripting and regex experience, Windows development with Python or other language, Qt ui creation, Git / Source control
● Strong communication skills both written and spoken
● Knowledge of how a VFX production environment works and familiarity with its software packages and capabilities (Maya / Nuke / Substance / Unreal )
● Comfortable in a range of content creation software including Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance Painter
● Highly committed and able to work independently
● Positive attitude towards learning and sharing
● Extremely organised with excellent attention to detail
● Able to solve problems as they arise and remain calm in high-pressure situations
● Experience with the following are a bonus: C++, Nuke API, Unreal API (Python)
