Hello everyone! I'm having a problem with my normal map specifically in which these tiles appear underneath the texture on certain areas of the model:
I've tried altering the topo and changing UV's but nothing seems to be fixing the problem. I'm at a loss.
Here's the UV's as well as the topo at the front of the legs if that helps anyone.

What's your normal map itself look like? How'd you bake it (what software)?
Here's the normal map, now that I look at it more closely, it does look weird in those areas, not sure why. It was baked in xnormal.
Make sure the lowpoly has smoothed normals, then rebake.
yeah that could be part of it, but it looks suspicios besides what hard edges would do, i would also inspect what the HP is looking like in Xnormal
I went and played around with the normals on the lowpoly and that didn't do anything. However, when I tried to load up the highpoly in Xnormal's 3d viewer, I got this error:
I figured something was wrong with it, so I redid the base mesh in zbrush and then projected all the details over and that seems to have fixed the weird squares in the normal map and allowed it to be read by the 3d viewer in Xnormal. Thanks guys!
