Hello all, it's been ages since I've been on this forum!
This may seem kind of convoluted, but I will try my best to explain my question.
I am looking to blend two height materials to displace geometry on a mesh using the vertex painting.
I have seen examples on the forum that show how to create material blending using OSL to emulate material blending in unreal, which is not what I'm looking for. I am simply just needing something to control the blending between height inputs and plugging the result into "Map:" in the displacement parameters.
here is a perfect example in Blender. (Damn you blender, for having things I want)

Thank you all in advance.

Yeah it's doable. Depends on the renderer, I guess you're wanting to use Arnold? Or something else?
Be aware that UV seams can cause all kinds of headaches with displacement, and various renderers have different methods to "fix" it.
