[Max/Maya/Blender] N-sided shape radial disposition as opposed to Perfect Circle script/tool?

With Modo Radial Align Tool you have the option to conform your selection into a perfect circle but also to an N-sided shape like a Pentagon or Triangle. It also comes with a nice option called Rotate that it changes what edges get connected in case your geometry gest twisted. Anybody knows a script for Max or Maya for this type of functionality?
