TriCAT is a market leader in virtual 3D learning and working environments, virtual classrooms and academy. We set the standard for technological developments and are constantly working on innovative solutions to make learning and cooperation economical and sustainable.

We are now seeking a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Character Artists to join our team and work on challenging and exciting projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create high quality 3D models and texture maps and to ensure that it conforms to the defined technical and artistic requirements.
  • Working closely with the Lead Artist, Senior Character Artist to ensure all 3D models maintain quality and most importantly consistency across multiple projects.
  • To help maintain and improve upon internal pipelines and workflows required for creating characters, as well as taking an active role in R&D to push our visual fidelity
  • Communicate effectively with artists, programmers and other team members to meet and exceed milestones.


Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a professional capacity.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standard software such as 3ds Max, Z brush, Marvellous Designer and Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of texture creation/authoring tools such as Substance painter.
  • Strong Understanding of the human anatomy/form
  • Experience in rigging and weighting
  • A positive collaborative and professional working attitude.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Able to prioritise and multitask.


Pluses

  • Degree in 3D design, Computer sciences, Game design or similar.
  • Working with Motion Capture data
  • Experience with Character Creator 3
  • Experience working with Unity 3D

Due to the corona situation currently home office is supported but we expect the potential applicant to eventually work on-site in Ulm, Germany.
