Overview
We’re a small team with big ideas. Sky Castle Studios is a fully remote company, centered in Santa Monica, California. We’re a group of talented artists, developers, character riggers, 3D modelers, in-house customer service agents, and gamers and nerds of all stripes. When we’re not brainstorming and creating new platforms, we’re a bunch of friends who enjoy sharing the latest developments in geek culture, exploring new technologies, and sharing our creative endeavors!

Our bread and butter is heroforge.com but we’re often expanding to other products and websites.
Job Description:
Sky Castle Studios is currently seeking a 3D Technical Artist with a technical leaning to join the Hero Forge art team. The artist’s responsibilities will primarily entail working with the art team to finalize art assets within the Hero Forge character creation pipeline. Must be eager to learn, be very organized and love being thorough. Must enjoy creative problem solving in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment! This position is Full Time with Benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Hero Forge art team to create and finalize both high and low poly assets within the character creation pipeline.
- Coordinate with the team on a daily basis to accomplish art related tasks and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- A solid understanding of 3D modeling, including:
- Mesh Topology
- Low Poly Geometry
- UV Layout
- Texturing
- Experience working with Maya and ZBrush.
Preferred Skills:
- Good organizational/time management skills.
- Knowledge of reprojection.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience writing process documentation.
- Open to experience with 3D sculpting and modeling.
- Open to experience with 3D printing.
- Open to experience with animation, skinning, rigging.
- Open to experience with coding and programming.
