What is DAVIGO?

We're a small, independent team working on DAVIGO, an upcoming VR vs. PC battle game. DAVIGO is currently the top upcoming VR multiplayer game on Steam and has a large following pre-launch, with over 65k Steam wishlists and 3k Patreon supporters. Our Patreon income has given us the opportunity to grow our team and we hope to find a long-term partner who is passionate about helping DAVIGO stand out and reach new heights.

Help us craft the next VR killer app

We believe DAVIGO is on-track to becoming a genre-defining VR classic. We need your help to bring our character concept art to life, with striking visual identity to enhance the in-game look and feel through the creation of 3d assets. We're looking for 3d artist to create assets based on the character concept art shown here. This contract will be on a per-piece basis, with the expectation of future contracts as our needs for 3d assets grows.

You will work closely with our team to create 3d asset based on our character concept art:

  • Understanding of graphical performance constraints on mobile hardware (our performance target is the Oculus Quest 1)

  • Modelling of low-poly characters that match the current art style of the game

  • Texturing, which will likely be minimal based on out current art style

  • Rigging the model based on our current rig (from Adobe Mixamo)

  • Showing work-in-progress to us so we can provide ongoing feedback

  • (Ideally) Bringing the model and rig into Unity to see how it looks and performs in-game

Please apply below with examples of character art from your portfolio.

Trail-blazers wanted

DAVIGO is targeting all major VR headsets, including Oculus Quest 1, where optimizing performance is an artform in itself. We're looking for an artist who understands the constraints of VR technology and enjoys working within them. During gameplay, the world of DAVIGO is viewed from two different perspectives—on PC (with a standard third person camera), and in VR, at twenty times the scale. Gameplay must be easily readable from both points of view.
