Must have AAA UE4 game development experience with at least one 1 shipped title as a Lead VFX Artist.
Must be able to provide an up-to-date portfolio of real-time VFX created for games using UE4.
Must possess the ability to understand complex visual problems and break them down with a critical eye and coordinate a team’s efforts in producing world-class VFX.
Must have exceptional technical skills and strong artistic talent for presentation, color, motion, and lighting.

Reports to: Art Director
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Art Director to lead our team of talented VFX Artists as they develop, optimize, and maintain VFX libraries used by the game development teams.
Lead by example by creating target examples of visually stunning VFX that are highly optimized.
Collaborate and communicate with other department leads to create world-class visual effects that are delivered on time to meet production schedules and milestone requirements.
Lead efforts in the evaluation, adaptation, and training of workflows for creating and implementing real-time visual effects for games.
Lead the on-going efforts for optimizing and improving existing VFX assets and systems
Be self-driven and execute at a high-level of professionalism and proficiency. Support and mentor your team at all times. We are all Servant Leaders here at TLM.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant major.
Minimum of 6+ years as a Senior VFX Artist and 3+ years as a Lead VFX Artist in game development using UE4; must have multiple shipped titles and at least 1 AAA shipped UE4 titles in the last 3 years.
Expert knowledge of Cascade, Niagra, and Sequencer.
Expertise with DCC tools, Maya and 3DS Max is preferred.
Deep knowledge of current best practices in VFX creation for games.
Expertise in optimizing and balancing performance of VFX for PC titles and console ports.
Solid understanding of all of the following, with mastery of at least 4:
Atmospheric and volumetric systems
Energy and particle systems
Viscous fluid and crystalline systems
Celestial bodies and geological systems
Chemical and biological systems
Natural and synthetic material systems
Desired Qualifications:
Experience creating procedural, simulation systems.
Proficiency with UE4 Blueprints, Python, C++, or C#
In-depth understanding of shading models and materials in UE4.
