hair card mesh overlap problem

I'm making a hair card using ornatrix, and the hair cards overlap each other, resulting in a render that's not good...
Is there any solution other than removing overlapping hair cards or adjusting them one by one in edit poly?

didnt do haircards with ornatrix yet, but does https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/ornatrix/docs/7/Normalize_Modifier.html the normalize modifier maybe work the same way here?

otherwise its the usual with grooming, work on the guides until it works out.
