[PAID] 3D Character Animator - Technical Artist (Remote, 30-40 hours/week)
Lumion is looking for a passionate technical artist who creates and polishes the 3D animations for our software’s extensive animated character library. Not so long ago, many architects could only dream about presenting self-made, realistic 3D images and videos of their designs to clients. Since its launch in 2010, Lumion has been changing the way architects work by helping them communicate their design ideas better and faster than ever before. Because of this, Lumion has been embraced by architects in over 150 countries.
As part of an integrated team, you will;
Create, or improve on custom rigs and animations for 3D characters to ensure natural and lifelike movements for real time 3D
Take ownership of Lumion’s extensive 3D character content library to ensure that all models are the best they can be.
Integrate new 3D characters into Lumion;
Create, fix and polish outsourced textures and materials to target specifications;
Work with the Content Manager to determine specifications and guidelines for new content.
Experiment with new possible technologies to take the Lumion characters to the next level.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who is creative by nature, autonomous, production and has a proven track record in the field. You listen well, are a patient, supportive and a constructive team player. You are passionate about creating animated and lifelike 3D characters in a 3D engine, and should be eager to help us push the boundaries to solidify Lumion as the premier visualization tool for Architects around the world.
You have a passion for animation and have an eye for core animation principles (timing, weight etc.);
You are able to work with both hand keyed and motion captured animations;
You have modeling & texturing knowledge and can advise 3D modelers on deformations etc.
You can animate realistic/believable action movement using a proportioned human figure
You can draw basic keyframes of the human form to plan out animations
Requirements:
Works and lives within the EU Time Zone
3+ years' experience as a professional 3D character animator
Strong portfolio showcasing realistic, high quality animated characters, skeletons and rigging,
Self-driven with strong communication skills and are comfortable working in an environment of honest feedback and iteration
Experience working with implementing 3D work into a 3D engine
Enjoy working in an environment with a lot of quirky people
