arnold with 3dsmax or arnold with maya for 3d characters?

Hi,
i am new user of arnold (just started learning it) and also new user of maya (i was mostly doing everything in 3ds max before). But now im expanding my software/tools arsenal.
So, which software of these 2 mentioned is better to render when it comes to realistic skin and characters ?
the same? not that important ? or it matters actually?
