Jade Ember Studios is looking for an experienced world art shader and materials artist who is comfortable working in Unity and Substance Painter/Designer. This is a contract/freelance remote position. We’re looking for someone who can create tiling, stylized environment materials (think Overwatch, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, etc.) and their corresponding shaders to be used in our world building pipeline.
In addition, you will be responsible for creating the shaders necessary to integrate your Substance materials into our Unity pipeline. The shaders should be tri-planar (UV-free) shaders that support vertex color/heightmap blended materials and procedural effects such as rain, snow/sand build up. You will be working directly with the lead level designer/world artist to ensure that the materials and shaders meet the needs of the world art pipeline.
