Slitherine
 Software is a strategy game publisher and developer based in Epsom, 
near London, but with a team spread around the world.  We are currently 
looking for a game artist to join us, either working locally in the 
Epsom office or remotely from home, to work on a number of strategy 
titles currently in development.
Who you are . . .
- Strong portfolio, with an emphasis on UI, cartography and graphic design.
- Experienced in the industry standard tools (Adobe suite, Substance etc. )
- Self-motivated, self-sufficient and organised
- Creative thinker and excellent communicator.
- Interested in (usually military) history and/or strategy games.
- Capable of teaching yourself and exploring new tools.
What you'll do . . .
- Design and create map and terrain assets - tile or non-tile based, 2D or 3D -  as the project requires.
- Design, create and implement UI - from asset creation through to implementation, often requiring a basic level of scripting.
- Collaborate with other team members to find innovative and appropriate development solutions. 
- Work alongside marketing to provide suitable material.
- Use historical research to ensure accuracy and provide inspiration.
Experience in the following will be an advantage . . .
- UX development
- Concept art
- Historical research
- Board/war game art
- Zbrush, Max, Blender, Substance, Quixel
- Unreal, Unity and other game engines
- ArcGIS, QGIS or other professional data driven cartographical tools
- Landscape generation tools ( World Machine, Gaea, etc. )
- Various scripting languages
This
 is a full time position, with a salary that will reflect experience, 
ranging from ~£25k-£45k.  If you are interested, please submit your

Note:
If
 you're a recent graduate or otherwise have little game industry 
experience, a strong portfolio can be enough. Don't feel the above
