Concept Artist

Job Description
We're looking for a skilled, experienced, and driven concept artist to help us make our new real-time strategy game a reality. As part of the Frost Giant Art team, you'll play a pivotal role shaping the creation of our new RTS. We're a new and tight-knit team with a history of success in the videogame industry. Because of our small size, everything you work on will have a major impact on the final product, from influencing in-game art, to cinematics, to marketing materials. There's a lot of creative space to explore, and you could be the artist to help shape Frost Giant's future!
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Art Director, producers, and designers to bring a new universe to life, while applying your own visual style.
Create images to fill various needs, ranging from quick ideation sketches to vision pieces to final model sheets.
Skills & Requirements
Required:
Background in the creation of characters, vehicles, and environments
Strong 2D drawing and painting ability to create organic, hard surface, and environmental designs
Possess an understanding of anatomy
Able to work quickly through ideas and bring them to final polish
Strong organizational skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
Online Portfolio
A passion for RTS games
Preferred:
Experience working with a 3d package as part of your concepting process
Experience mentoring other artists and/or working with contract artists
Previously shipped a AAA game
Experience working in a studio environment
Experience with working with outsourcing companies
