Needed to improve my Marvelous Designer skills, so I decided to create this asset. It wasn't an easy journey, but I learned a lot from it. Special thanks to my mentor Georgian Avasilcutei for his feedback as well to my fellow students for all the support and feedback.
Everything but the Clips and Zipper were made in Marvelous Designer, then taken to Zbrush to add memory folds and stitching. Retopo was made with Topogun 3 beta, Rendered and baked with Marmoset Toolbag 4, Textured with Substance Painter, UVs were made with RizomUV, and clips and strap clean up were made in Maya. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/9mbgZv
Damn dude, that's legit. Only crit might be the roughness is generally too low, kind of looks wet atm. I could be wrong tho, I'm not the best at figuring out roughness levels.
@Ashervisalis thank you, and yeah I felt like that at 1st as well but is actually the lighting setup that is giving it that look on top of that most of the times these materials with low wear and tear tend to have that silky high contrast look due to how tightly packed the fibers are, like those old school nylon jackets that made a swoosh noise every time you move lol. But if you are referring to how the light is catching on the 4th image on the straps that's because I bumped up my rim light to be q bit high to be able to separate the backpack from its background.
