The .obj was modeled and exported from 3DsMax 2021. I've tried multiple exports and smoothing group alterations but had no luck on this occasion. Any idea?
Yeah, this is a triangulation mismatch problem. All models need to be converted to triangles to be rendered on the GPU. If you export quads or n-gons, different applications may interpret the triangulation order differently, resulting in these X patterns where the edge doesn't match.

Problem solved! Had to triangulate the low poly mesh before baking it
