I have been using Maya for years and this seems to always have been how it is - when I use the automatic layout tool my maps are always upside down on the UV map. 99% of the time this doesn't really affect anything but every now and again it makes me go on a rant. Does anyone know why this would be happening? I have done a reset on the tool in case I had some preference somewhere set but it makes no difference. I do use Y as the up direction but I would expect that would make everything off by 90 degrees not 180. Is there some setting somewhere that I can manually set that will align the uv islands in the upright position without me having to rotate them by hand after using layout?
