I teach, both one-off tutoring and long term mentorships. I find it fun, it'll be good experience for when/if I become a lead, and is almost always pretty minimal stress. On a couple occasions I've taken freelance work making art, and I might again for the right project, but dealing with two sets of deadlines generally feels like more stress than it's worth.
I was freelancing for half a year next to my previous studio job and then switched to the company I was freelancing for - one of the reaons many companies don't like to allow freelancing next to working for them.
In any case, I'm no longer doing side gigs and instead enjoying the time off

Do you?
When I started my current full-time job 3 years ago, I was an active freelancer, and an admin here at Polycount.
I made sure they were cool with me winding down the freelancing, but keeping the Polycount.
They were ok with that, as long as it wouldn't interfere with me committing fully to their job.
So, when I'm working, I'm fully present.
