Project Description:
On an isolated island tormented by monsters and magical horrors, a shipwreck survivor must quell an ancient god who threatens to rise again and wipe out the island’s inhabitants.
We’re working on a medieval fantasy RPG project. The pre-production phase is nearly complete, so we’re gearing up and hiring for production!
The Gothic II and The Witcher 3 games are the main inspiration for this game, so knowing them, or even being a fan of them is obviously an advantage, but by no means required. 

Mysteria Studio UG:
Mysteria Studio has completed a large variety of Unreal Engine projects, starting in the UDK days, and is developing with UE4 since it was in Beta. This includes both our own games and work for hire.

Talent Required:
Freelancers are paid their regular hourly rate for their service.

All Freelancer applicants should have at least two years of games industry experience and an outstanding portfolio.
We are looking to have a healthy balance of Volunteers and Freelancers working on the project over the next 4 years.

Level Designers:
Familiar with the UE4 landscape system and level editor.
Know / be willing to learn how to use source control.

Character Riggers:
Able to show a highly efficient rigging workflow, capable of rigging 90+ RPG characters with identical vertex count & vertex order semi-automatically.
Know how to skin / rig characters to the Epic / ALS Skeleton.
Experience with UE4 cloth simulation is a strong plus!

Vegetation Artists:
Experienced with SpeedTree and exporting for Unreal Engine.

With a darker colour palette and medieval western Europe tree types.

Material Artists:
Experienced in Substance Designer, creating stylized PBR, UE4 ready materials.

Application Process:

The first step is that you send the following information to [email protected]
- A link to your online portfolio and / or examples of your past work in PDF form.    
- Your hourly pay rate. (If possible, please include a time estimate per asset created.)
- Optionally, a few words about projects you’ve worked on, medieval fantasy things you like etc. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about the job. 

The second step for select candidates is an application task, which is paid at your regular payrate. The task is specific to your specialization.
An in-depth description of the task will be sent to select candidates in a reply. 
You’ll also have to sign a contract that gives Mysteria Studio UG the usage rights to the content you create for the project.  
 
The project is completely funded already. So, when you complete a task, you get paid directly. We‘re looking forward to your applications!
