Blender 2.9 particle system (hair) emitter display problem.

Hi
Probably an easy one, but how do I get rid of the emitter white ball display in the viewport and render while using a particle system? The emitter is the ground plane which I want visible. Here is a screen shot.

    Blender displays particles of non-hair particle systems as spheres by default. I'm sorry if I'm suggesting something you've already done but double-check all of your particle systems to see if there's an extra unconfigured one. If I had to hazard a guess I'd say it's the ParticleSettings.001 listed below the Groom one—can you show its settings?

    Also, I've seen differences in 2.8- and 2.9 hair systems but no outright new bug like this yet. Are you certain it's a 2.9 specific issue? Did you try the scene in a previous build?

    Thanks for your reply. I actually hadnt done a render until yesterday, and when I did the indicator didnt show. On a deadline for the next few days. Will get the settings up then.
