    I would not use Zbrush for this. If you're dead set on it though, you could start searching for "zbrush wicker".

    1. make a rectangle and two cylinder subtools
    2. copy the rectangle subtool horizontally 6 times
    3. use the elastic deform or geometry deform tool to bend the cylinder subtools into wiggly lines that alternate going over and under the rectangles
    4. copy the cylinders about 15 times vertically
    5. use geometry deform again on the cylinders again to make them uneven

    done!

    in this case I'd say they are using Array Mesh so that they don't have to worry about manually copying and spacing the different repeating portions out. They can sculpt on the few branches or boards that they do have, and the rest of the instances would automatically update across the pattern.
