Hey... in the industry how common is it for a large games studio to buy cinteq's over a standard tablet/intuos (or a mix)? I ask because I've accepted a character artist role and previously I've been using a 27qhd cinteq for all my personal work so I'm wondering if I'll have to retrain on an intros (my eye/hand coordination wasn't amazing when I tried it years ago!).
The studio's HR is gonna call me in a few weeks with an equipment list to be sent to me (working from home due to covid until next year). Thought I'd ask if anyone has any thoughts on what large studios normally have

It doesn't take long for a cintiq to start saving you money so there's no sense in refusing one
yup most studios nowadays provide a Cintiq for the artists especially concept artists but also 3d artists if they ask for it.
though at home I have an intuos small, for some reason I like working on intuos and not directly on the screen it makes my hand sweat even with the glove on , also my back hurts cause I find my self always leaning in on the screen.
so I ended asking for an intuos at work for 3d modeling tasks and used the cintiq as monitor. haha
