Should you send artstation portfolios to game studios?

I was talking to a environment artist and she said I should have an artstation over my own portfolio. Is this true? Are companies okay with receiving portfolios from artstation?

In the illustration world you need your own portfolio most of the time. So I don't know.

yes, artstation 100% please. there are so many benefits of it, the biggest being that if i like your work i can follow you or add your work to a "candidates" collection on my artstation for quick reference. no way I am remembering a custom domain name 99% of the time. here is a big article I wrote on the subject that goes deeper into it:
