Hey all! I've been working on a fun project lately I wanted to share and get some feedback on! 

Here is my reference (a rough kitbash I made of elements I wanted to include in the gun)


And here is my current progress! I'm doing the lowpoly at the moment and have yet to bake, plus there's a couple small elements I painted over that I want to include. It's a fun and wild project and I can't wait to bring it all together with some loving stylized texture!

this feels like a cartoon version of the Titanfall rail gun.  Hold rail on the right side, cylindrical box magazine, big blocks for the muzzle rails, forward scope.

Yep! The plasma railgun was a huge inspiration and element of the kitbash. Effectively this gun is the plasma railgun-meets the nautical concept work of Elodie Mondoloni.

Absolutely love this. really awesome concept and clear development to the 3D model and textures. Can't wait to see the finish product! if i had to say anything, and this is nit picky of course, but i feel the tentacles are a little too blocky, it doesn't quite have that natural, almost liquid shape that tentacles usually have. For example, the crease on the right underneath the grip seems too sharp, almost creating a right angle shape which is jarring? Perhaps this was on purpose for your design choice, I just thought I'd share an opinion !
