Maya - Blendshapes on different meshes

Hi!

I've learned sometime ago that you can sort of connect two meshes' blendshapes with some menu option in Maya but I can't quite remember what that is. This method allow you to add joints in a side-mesh and have the controllers that drive these joints on the base mesh, and this process is done by connecting the two meshes with a blendshape. It's useful to relieve the main mesh from being cluttered with joints and allow you to use clusters (that remain attached to the same world space making its use almost impossible in all movable mesh). So, what feature is this if someone knows it, please!?
