Trying to retain nanomesh details

I have modeled a low poly robe in zbrush with uvs and thickness and then I created a nanomesh weave texture on a copy of the robe. I would like to retain the details from the nanomesh robe in the low poly but I am stuck. The nanomesh geometry is 10 million polygons and if I try to zremesh it, the software creates some sort of crazy looking geometry that no longer resembles the robe. I would try to bake a normal map but I don't have a copy of the nanomesh that has subdivision levels because of my inability to remesh it in zbrush. I have also tried to project the nanomesh onto an equally subdivided copy of the low poly mesh and that did not transfer the detaiIs successfully either. I don't know if there is an obvious solution to my problem but If anybody has any advice I would greatly appreciate it
