Creating different LOD (Level Of Detail) of a same character for study purposes. If we think the above in terms of details:
LOD1 is more like a crowd character best viewed from far and still recognizable
LOD2 is secondary character a lot better  than LOD1 but still not detailed enough to considered as primary character

LOD3 is suited for primary character and possess more details then LOD2 character and looks very similar to the LOD4 character
and finally
LOD4 is a high-poly cinematic character it contains finer and sharper details (very close to high-poly sculpt)  and more polished then LOD3 character.

All the above characters uses a 4k Diffuse and Normal map and a 2k specular map.
