I have a lamp with a lampshade in my scene. The lampshade has an emissive texture applied, and Im using a bit of the emissive to cast a bit of light around the lamp. My issue is, if I put a pointlight in the lamp, the light gets blocked by the lampshade mesh. If I place the pointlight outside of the lamp, the shadows are incorrect since the light is in an incorrect location
What is the correct method for lighting a lampshade and using shadows? Do I just not use shadows and place the light inside the lampshade? Scratching my head over this one, cant find a good solution.
