What is an efficient way to merge multiple texture sets? I've been trying to solve this problem on my own, but without any results.

I wrote a painter plugin that uses the automation toolkit to composite the exported maps when this came up.
There might be something on substance share that does similar

I've done this in 3ds Max without much trouble, also other baking tools.
