Sceleton rigging ( maya)

Hellow everyone! I have some problem. I need to add а new joint into sceleton with ready skinning. I am create joint, put it the bones hierarchy. But when i whant to paint new weights with Paint skin weights Tool ? there no such joint at all...How Can i add this joint?
