Hi all, running into an issue with getting refraction to work as expected in Marmoset. Is there a way to stop the light placed inside of the"fish tank" from bleeding onto the mesh below? This can't be bounce light right..? The highlight seems to be coming from above.

I placed a solid cylinder underneath with 0 transparency.

Thanks

It's not entirely clear what the issue is from this image. It looks like there are multiple light sources in the scene, have you tried disabling those to see if that is causing the problem?

So above the big octopus that platform is it allowed to create shadows? that might help with the light going through to it.  afaik
It is the only thing i am seeing that might be an issue, if it has shadows enabled idk otherwise, that is a tricky one, maybe have GI on ? all the options and increase the shadow options to high+, maybe try that.
Edit: can also edit the light options as E.Q. said maybe start with 1 light edit it till it gives you the look you want then  turn on each 1 by 1 and edit all of them one at a time till the scene looks as you want it to?.

Thanks for all the suggestions -- after looking at it, I realized that the platform underneath was slightly intersecting the refracted cylinder, causing the light to pass through the platform. I adjusted - and it seems to be fixed.

    thanks all!
