Substance Painter: Adding wear to top of diamond pattern

Hello,
How to achieve the effect of the paint being worn off of the top of the diamond pattern as shown in attached image? I have added metal edge generator but it doesn't affect the pattern itself. I'm using the Diamond Plate sbsar I got from Substance Source.
I'm hoping the pattern doesn't have to be modeled in.
