I'm new to creating materials and game art in general. Also, it's turned out that it's my first thread on Polycount, so I glad to join. A few weeks ago, I started studying material creation in Substance Designer, and I decided to try out Quixel Mixer for elevating my hard skills. I finished my first public project — Spaceship lining material, hugely inspired by Paul Pepera's amazing works.
As a student myself, I really care about critiques and feedback from experienced artists, so I'd love to hear from you any tips on how I can get better at this. Also, I won't regret about any social support on the Artstation from you for the sake of the forum community
