#3dsMax 2021.1 has been released.

There are lots of fixes. But, there are also some new new features and improvement such as...

  • SHIFT_Drag to Extrude and Inset.
  • UDIM support for viewport via OSL bitmap.
  • Slate ME drawing performance improvement.
  • Support OSL string in viewport. You can play animated sequence in viewport when you use OSL bitmap.
  • UDIM support for BakingToTexture.
  • Animation support for for BakingToTexture.
  • Various UX and MXS improvement for BakingToTexture.
  • Multi-threaded Weighted Normal modifier.
  • Preservation of explicit normal work continues.
  • Fluid loader is exposed to particle interface. You can directly render MaxFuild with VRayInstancer and such.
  • PRT export of uv and id for Fluid has been fixed.
  • DefaultParamInterface for custom default. I have something for this. A blog post will be up soon.
