Hey guys! Hope everyone is safe and sound :)

Yesterday I handed in my pre-production document for my final major project, thought I'd post it below to see what everyone thinks! Any feedback is welcome :)

The idea of my project is to create a medieval town, with a really interesting castle in the background, sort of looking over the whole village looking grande. A short cinematic will be taken going through this environment, looking at different parts of the foreground and eventually the castle itself.

First of all, the concept I am following, I kit-bashed together two concepts: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Pk5o4 andhttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/rRGkG5 which I think are amazing pieces of art and close to what I imagined in my head. Please take a look at their amazing work!

Next up is the general grey boxing of everything! First up is the buildings I will need in a single pack

Now within the Unreal Engine!

Just like to note for the greyboxing, the grass isn't mine, or the cliffs, cliffs are megascans and the grass is from https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/procedural-nature-pack-vol

For background buildings, they will be simple geometry with a texture on top, whether that's done with a high to low poly bake I haven't decided, but that'll be a fun challenge! I do think that the main scene my camera will be going through is too close to the walls, and I sort of had to edit the position of the castle keep itself to just fit it in. if it was further back, I could capture more of that epic castle look.
The deadline for this project is August 13th, so I think I have a lot of time to work on this project, work on my skills and create a portfolio worthy of the industry!

Any feedback will be much appreciated!
Hope everyone stays safe and have a good day!
