I’ve decided to start this post as a way of documenting my projects, getting crit and just being more active in the community. For this project I am aiming to improve my texturing by creating a series of tool props that I can collate into a diorama after a while and then maybe a small environment.

At the moment I am just trying to build up momentum by averaging one prop a day with no worry about tech specs or any specific end goal. Once I have a solid body of work I will start figuring out a more final environment. 


I have created almost half a dozen props this week, I’m pretty happy with them for a first pass but when I have a better idea of what I am going to create I will make a second pass. Next week I aim to double the assets and to start a second pass to ensure consistency.

    Second little update and I have made some progress on the props and started to fill out a small environment blockout in marmoset. I managed to double the asset count from last week like I wanted and made a start on the scene. 

    I have also started revamping textures in between creating assets. The most recent asset I created has set a benchmark for all current and future ones. Next week I aim to have them all to this standard plus maybe some new additions.

    Next week I intend to have this scene fleshed out a bit more and populated with some of my assets.
