[WIP] Dark Souls - Oscar of Astora bust

I'm creating a new thread, to document the progress on my newly started project: A Oscar of Astora bust!
Usually my go-to when modelling is props and weapons. However, I really want to challenge myself on this new piece, and make something I've never made before.
I really hope creating this thread will make me feel at least a little bit obligated to see this one through, as I know low motivation will hit when I try out new stuff and it inevitably sucks.
This project is inspired by (obviously) the original Oscar of Astora character, and this https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6G03w sick bust, made by Singgih Kuncoro!
This is my progress so far, I still have a long way to go, but right now I'm really feeling motivated.
