I had it on the entire time, but only the highest quality settings were enabled on the main camera @Pirax.

That would be awesome and really helpful. I had a difficult time trying to get it working correctly on outdoor scenes and with landscapes as well as with volumetric fog. Anyways, looking forward to your tutorial. Thank you!
i haven't read through full article yet but i was really impressed with those long leaf pines. I tried making some before but found i couldn't get a very convincing effect and stay at the resolution needed. i think you did a better job, they look very authentic. well done!
