Male Character Anatomy - Need some critique on my Anatomy

Hi Polycount, sorry for bothering all of you, and thank you so much for your time.

I've been working on getting my realistic anatomy down, as I follow Rafael Grassetti's tutorial on Male anatomy.
I've pretty much finished with this apart from details and face. I really want to get my proportions and anatomy correct before I go forward with the character.

However, I feel there's something alien about my model, and I've got some friends that also feel that there's something off with the character, but I can't really get a grasp on what it is that's wrong with it, and hopefully, somebody can help.

The character right now has an 8 head proportion, but I will make it 7/5 once I finish the head.

Here's a fancy render I did of him - https://imgur.com/a/M6nXTqc

Here are some prints on some focused parts of the body - https://imgur.com/a/bNoLqji
Sorry, I couldn't find any other way of uploading pictures into my post here on polycount, so I had to make an Imgur image library. (it worked with the render, but not with the individual ones and I don't know why :p )

If you could take some time and help me figure out what's wrong with my anatomy I'd be forever grateful!

Thank you so much in advance.

There are a lot of "off" things about your model but I will name just a few :

proportions are all over the place
-you have made him kind of wide so he looks short
-arm are too long and hand in relation to the forearm is too long
    -knee is too high
-optional I would give him higher and wider shoulders so he looks more like a muscular guy -> inverted triangle

    missing or incorrect anatomy
    -lower leg is barely existing
-you seems to not understand how arm connect to the body
-there are lot of pieces of anatomy that doesnt look like as they should ,investigate mark areas

    gesture rhythm posture curves
-lack of proper form orientation for example his legs are straight up and down it looks more like a column then a leg ,I am pretty sure side view have the same problem

Use Daz 3D as a reference. Its free and you can rotate the figure around while you work.

Hey! Thank you so much for the input!

After your massive and much-appreciated criticism, I went around and focused on the parts Carvuliero mentioned. I tried to gather as much reference as possible and tried to understand really what I had wrong, and I think the main problem was I didn't have enough references.

As for Daz, what a great tip! I tried not to rely too much on the 3d reference Daz3D gave me, as I don't know yet how flawed it can be (I'm not saying it is, I just want to learn from using photography references, instead of 3d models). It was really helpful understand most of the parts, especially if you crank up the specularity of the material. But damn, I was not really a fan of the camera controls

Anyways, here's how it's looking now.

What do you think? I'm going to start working on the head right now.

Thank you so much for your detailed answer Carvuliero, it was really in-depth and it helped me understand the main flaws of my anatomy. Is there anything else I'm missing?

    Thank you in advance.

Learning from the real thing is the best way you never know even with 3d scans
I can see improvement some area are even acceptable but there are a lot that need more work
I have attached image of legs so you can have something to compare what you have take special care to lower leg
