Hello people of polycount,
i'm working on my Major Project for my Bachelors Degree right now.
My goal is to create a 3D animated short film with focus especially on the animation.
I want to use this piece for my portfolio to show future recruiters that i want to be an animation guy.
The only problem is: i'm not very good at sculpting or creating characters in general and i don't have much time.
So here's my question:
Do you guys know any good references for very simple looking but functional characters?
My main focus is to show emotions and thought processes through movement and gestures.
If you can think of ANYTHING that goes in this direction of style, please let me know!
Cheers,
Dennis

Animation mentor has a couple of free characters: https://www.animationmentor.com/animation-program/animation-characters/
Another school: https://www.animschool.com/DownloadOffer.aspx
You also can find free rigged characters in Turbosquid or Cgtrader, but they are mostly for maya.
Hope it helps!
