substance painter pink color revert?

ok so last night I was pretty pleased with my first attempt at painting in Substance Painter and did a knife thing.
today I open the file and it's all pink colored. I hid all textures and it's still pink. What is going on here?

I know I saved it right and all I do is open it and it's all pink.

yes I did that to show it's not an issue on my created layers. any idea what causes it?

Have you checked your environment / lighting settings? Bc also your sky is gone, right?

I don't quite understand why you're on a 2017 version.

Check your texture set names are what they should be

I can't afford newer version. plus a lot of my tuts are in this version
I don't know what you mean by "texture set" do you mean my Layer names?

those are all ok. I disabled skybox till my textures are closer to done

A texture set is more like "one material" though it refers to your material IDs or material assignments-per-mesh from your imported model. Older versions of substance where bit nasty in this regards because you could rename the texture set but this could break the connection to your already created data.
