Hi,
I wondered if anyone could give me some advice. I wanted to model a trenchcoat that would ultimately be rendered as if it were casually thrown onto a table (similar to the pic below). I wanted to get the initial t-pose mesh done in marvelous designer and then simulate it falling onto a table, then take it into zbrush to detail.
My question is... would this work or would this be a total pain to detail/give thickness/uv etc because its not in a neutral pose anymore? I've seen a lot of tutorials do this with flat planes simulated to look like a table cloth for example... but not an entire jacket!

. Just wanted to know if this would be the ideal way or if I'm just gonna give myself hassle with nasty intersecting simulation and uneven uv's

then deform your final jacket with that. That would seem like a more non destructive and preferable way of doing it.
Totally didn't think of that!
