It's about time I start posting some process work! I've been an artist in many different mediums, fine art, traditional 2D animation, tattoo artist, wood burning, soap stone carving, basket weaving... but when I learned I could be modding video games, I went and got my first wacom and Zbrush 4R2 well the rest is history...

Going to start with my most recent project, this cute little boat I worked on from November to end of February. I'm working full time as an environment artist so as to not burn myself out. this was made between a few Saturdays here and there and some evenings getting pizza instead of cooking.

First off block out in 3DS Max, did this after work one evening. I take something like this into Zbrush, subdivide and then use deformations to break up symmetry.

First pass in Zbrush. Using an excellent rope curve brush by Monica included the link for ya. Mirrored the boat sides, rungs and ropes for smooth sailing with my UVs later...

Nice job! Hm, I really like how you have used really saturated colors, but the scene is still easy on the eyes. Many times these saturated scenes can give a bit of a headache, but this one is really well balanced and easy to look at.
