What's the reason for the survey, and what's going to happen to the results? We have lots of experienced freelancers here, but few will give up their valuable time unless there's a clear benefit. Will you share the results of your survey, or does the information just disappear into the ether? People would be more willing to volunteer information if we could all learn from others too.
